These are so cool! Mild mannered by day, but at night, if lights hit you.. .they just pop!! Reflective pattern design is awesome at night, and a great safety feature! Otherwise, as all other models, just an amazing minimalist trail runner.. can’t be beat!

I have worn my Black Ops for about 6 months as both a running shoe and for everyday wear – I even wear them to church! After hundreds and hundreds of miles they show almost no wear at all, only a touch of wear on the forefoot tread. I run on rough rural paved roads, and wear them walking and working in the woods. If they get wet the mesh makes for super fast drying. One of the best things about these is when my job requires all day standing my back, legs, feet and “bad” hip don’t hurt as with all other shoes. The only things I would change (though none warrant taking away a star) are: 1. Better laces – these are very durable but come untied easily. I just “double knot” them. 2. I need a size 10 1/2 which was not available when I bought them, not 10 3/4. 3. I did wear through the insole in the forefoot and replaced them. As a barefoot-style runner and walker I always wear that part of insoles (and the whole shoe) first and quickly. But compared to other popular minimalist, zero drop shoes these wear incredibly well. Plus they are OWNED, DESIGNED AND MADE IN THE U.S.A.!!! I hope Carson is around a long time!

Just got mine today. Put them on and went for a quick run, then hit the gym. The padding is just right. It’s not too thin and it’s not too thick. It feels right. I typically wear a size 12 and I order a size 12 and that are just about perfect, snug, but perfect. If you are a 12.5 then move up. They feel very well made, are comfy and yet have a lot of feedback to them. I’m quite happy and can’t wait to see how they perform in the coming winter months.
