I have been training and racing in Altra’s (for over 6 months) and got my first pair of Carson’s. Love them – some traction, soft heel, toe protection, wide toe, zero drop. Did one 3 mile easy run, and felt so confident that the second time I work them was for a 5K two days later. They are now my main shoe for training and racing. Transitioning to Carson’s was easy, sizes are legit so no correction is needed, and they are my favorite shoe. Made in USA (by adults) is always a plus. Polyurethane concept of lateral dispersion of impact energy is great.

These kicks have served we very well. I’ve put ~800 miles on them and they still feel (basically) brand new. Solid construction, breathable materials, and freakishly comfortable. And as always: MADE IN THE USA. Definitely recommend to any runner. Or literally anyone, anywhere.
THere is a pop up blocking half of this box so forgive me for any typos as I can’t see what I’m typing… Incredibly comfortable shoe out of the box. My only complaint is a slight raised edge along the heel which kind of digs in. I’ve only done two runs so far and I’m hoping it wears down further into the break in process as it kind of upsets the minimalistic/slipper feel of this shoe. I was a little leery of the crazy print but I’m actually enjoying it and they lookand feel awesome. Also if you are a half size (10.5 in my case), definitely size up rather than down.

Would be my favorite trail shoes if the toe box was wider. Very good minimalist shoe, grippy and comfortable but needed to size up to allow for more room in toe box.
