A last is the foot-shaped form a shoe is built around. It determines the length, width, instep, toe shape and overall feel of the finished shoe.

These are all men’s size 9 lasts. And every one fits differently.

Every Carson last has its own ID. If a Men’s 9 / Last 1418 fits you, 1418 will always mean that same fit.

We don’t change the shape and keep calling it the same size.

INFINITE SIZING

Today we have one last for each size. As we develop lasts for different foot shapes, our system can support several fits within the same conventional size—without taking away the fit you already know.
